Gender strategies and implementation support to advance women’s financial inclusion in ASEAN

This project involved the development of gender strategies and project implementation support for United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF’s) Shaping Inclusive Finance Transformations (SHIFT) ASEAN Programme to guide the work of this regional programme – a financial market facilitation, technical assistance and funding facility for the ASEAN region funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

The gender strategies for Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Viet Nam were based on desk research, bilateral interviews and in country multi-stakeholder workshops on women’s financial inclusion constraints.
